Client work

Three engagements. Three service areas.

Hilburn Williams & Co launched with active paid and pro bono work. Each engagement represents a distinct service area and builds the portfolio deliberately.

Current engagements

Active — paid project contract

Catalyst Management Solutions

Website copy and member communications work for an association management company. AMCs serve multiple association clients, which makes this engagement both a direct project and a window into immediate market demand for the firm’s core services.

Member communications & content strategy

Active — pro bono

Jane Austen Society of North America

Developing a strategic plan for JASNA. The engagement draws on Kris’s experience partnering with boards on organizational direction as an embedded executive — the kind of strategy work that emerges naturally from deep organizational knowledge.

Active — board service & pro bono

Congo Restoration

Kris serves on the board of Congo Restoration, which educates girls and women in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and is developing two annual giving campaigns for the organization. Donors, like members, need consistent communication and genuine connection to mission to remain engaged givers.

Donor & annual giving engagement

Nearly 30 years before that

The engagements above are the practice’s first. The experience behind them is longer: multi-million-dollar budgets, financial restructuring and operational turnaround, membership growth, new revenue streams, advocacy and governance, and years of advising volunteer boards from the inside.

Case studies from the current engagements are in development. In the meantime, Kris is happy to walk through comparable work in detail.
